iX Cameras – the company developing the world’s most powerful ultra-fast video cameras for science and industry – is looking for an experienced mechanical/manufacturing engineer to join our research and development team. This job involves many aspects of mechanical, manufacturing and electronic production engineering, including CAD/CAM product conceptual design; taking control of our libraries, designs and systems; working closely with our electronics and manufacturing teams; finding and building relationships with suppliers. A working understanding of DFM (design for manufacture) principles is required, and you will be required to develop manufacturing and test procedures.
To be successful, you will require a mechanical engineering / CAD background, and an HNC or equivalent or higher in a relevant engineering discipline. Our cameras have complex, machined cases with high quality surface finishing and intricate mechanics in the lens mount systems, so experience in these areas is highly desirable. A working understanding of electronic circuits is also highly desirable.
