This test is looking at the fluid flow around the post. A high-power sheet laser is used to illuminate the particulate dosing. The laser fires dual pulses, synchronised precisely with the camera, straddling the frame exposure time. This results pairs of images which can then be used to image correlate particle velocity maps.
